Massimo Girardis
Main position/role:
Professor in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy

Prof Girardis is the head of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Department of the Modena University Hospital and Professor in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia . From October 2021, Chair of the Systemic Inflammation and Sepsis section of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM). From January 2019 to December 2021 Prof Girardis was the chair of the educational committee of the Italian Society of Anaesthesia and Resuscitation (SIAARTI). His clinical activity and research are mainly dedicated to intensive care medicine, particularly in infection, sepsis and oxygen transport, from basic pathophysiology to therapy. He participated as principal investigator or national coordinator for numerous research projects supported by national government funds and scientific societies. He is the author of over 200 indexed publications.


Giorgio Grani
Main position/role: Researcher in Internal Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy
Giorgio Grani is Researcher at the Department of Translational and Precision Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome. He received the M.D. and the Ph.D. degree in biotechnologies in clinical medicine. His research interests include thyroid nodules and cancer, particularly imaging, medical management, and biomarkers to achieve a better risk stratification, also using deep learning. He has published more than 90 papers and has received several prizes and research grants. He has been serving in the Editorial Board of Thyroid, Clinical Thyroidology, and Endocrine. He has been giving lectures and short courses for clinicians on artificial intelligence applications in medicine.

Nora Grasselli
Main position/role:
Program Director at ESMT Berlin and co-director of the Young Physician Leaders Programme

Dr. Nora Grasselli is a Program Director at ESMT Berlin and is co-director of the Young Physician Leaders Programme. She studied management, with focus on organization, completed her PhD on group dynamics at HEC School of Management and during her doctoral studies she was visiting fellow at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and at RMIT (Melbourne). She is a graduate of the Columbia Coaching Certification Program – External Coach Intensive. Prior to joining ESMT Berlin, as a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group, Nora was consulting to multinational corporations on organizational issues. She also worked as a lecturer for MBA and Executive programs at multiple business schools including HEC, Oxford Said, Reims School of Management and the Central European University. As a program director at ESMT Nora pursues her interests in human collaboration: group dynamics, leadership, and organizational psychodynamics. In addition to her client work, teaching and research, Nora regularly coaches executives and executive teams.

 


Mar Griera
Main position/role:
Associate Professor of Sociology, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain

Dr MAR GRIERA is an Associate Professor in the Sociology Department at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and the director of the research group ISOR (Research Centre for the Study of Religion). She holds an ICREA Academia research Fellowship (2021-26). Her main research expertise lies at the intersection of interreligious relations, politics, and health in contemporary Europe. She has coordinated several competitive projects in these areas and extensively published their results in top academic journals and books. Apart from her academic record, Dr Griera has also engaged in multiple outreach activities and has served as advisor on religious diversity issues for public administrations and civil society actors.  


Maria Elena Guadagno

Business and Technology Transfer Director, BSP Pharmaceuticals 
Maria Elena Guadagno leads the Business Unit Organization,  with responsibility of  Technical Business Development, Business Management and Technology Transfer departments, she joined BSP Pharmaceuticals in 2008.
Prior to joining BSP Pharmaceuticals, Maria Elena has achieved a significant experience in Tech Transfer Project Management at Patheon and developed her professional and technical growth in Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble. Maria Elena holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technologies from the University of Naples.
