| AdT graduated in Biological Sciences (1987) and achieved a PhD in Microbiology and Epidemiology (1993). Since 2001, she coordinates the group of Medical Entomology in the Department of Public Health & Infectious Disease in Sapienza University of Rome. Research activities focus on mosquito vectors and mosquito-borne diseases, with specific focus on Afrotropical Anophelinae vectors and Culicinae vectors of arboviruses of public health concern in Europe. Researches are funded by EU (FP7 and H2020), NIH (USA), Italian Ministries of Research, of Health and of Defence and by Sapienza University. Scientific production is documented by 142 papers and several invitations as keynote speakers.
