Prof. Francesco Landi is Professor of Internal Medicine at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome and he is Chief of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Unit of the A. Gemelli University Hospital. Prof. Landi’s main research interests include sarcopenia, geriatric assessment, and nutrition. He is the current president of the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics (SIGG) and he has over 300 peer-reviewed original papers in international medical journals, many of which are in frailty and functional status of older people. He is also member of national and international expert groups that work on guidelines in the field of nutrition, sarcopenia, and functionality in older adults.
