| Ellen Idler is the Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Sociology at Emory University. She holds additional faculty positions in the Center for Ethics, the Rollins School of Public Health, and the Graduate Division of Religion at Emory. Her research on religion as a social determinant of health is reflected in Religion as a Social Determinant of Public Health (E. Idler, Editor, Oxford University Press, 2014).
