Main position/role: Distinguised Professor, College of Public Health, National Taiwan University 
Professor Chan is a Distinguished Professor at College of Public Health (CPH), National Taiwan University (NTU). Professor Chan is also a visiting professor at Chiba University, Japan and Malaysia National University, Malaysia. He is the head of Taiwan delegations for M8 Alliance, and Chair of International Advisory Board for Reform for Resilience Commission Asia-Pacific Hub. Professor Chan received his ScD from Harvard School of Public Health in 1990, and served as a faculty at NTU since then. He is an active researcher in global health and environmental health issues with over 200 SCI publications. Professor Chan is a leading public health researcher in Taiwan and a well-known public health scholar in Asia-Pacific region.
